Membership and session fees
Membership of the Swash & Buckle costs £80 per year or £50 for six months. On top of that there is a session fee of £5. We welcome occasional visitors from other clubs, especially during the summer (unlike many clubs we are open throughout the year, except for Bank Holidays and two weeks over the Christmas and New Year period). Non-members pay a £7 session fee. The club is dependent on membership fees to stay open, so any fencers intending to fence regularly at the club must become members.
Participants in our beginners and intermediate courses do not need to pay the membership fee until completion of the intermediate course.
Club activities
The Swash and Buckle organises regular social
events for members, and groups from the club regularly compete at competitions
(see the photo gallery for recent events). Keep in touch by watching
the noticeboard in the gym, keeping an eye on the website or asking to
be put on our email list.
